Business confidence has hit a 19-month high in Queensland, according to the latest research from Westpac.
The Westpac Group CCIQ Pulse Survey of Business Conditions is the latest in a series of reports to show the Queensland economy is moving into positive territory, according to state treasurer Tim Nicholls.

“The survey shows the Business Confidence Index for the Queensland economy rose by 12.9 points to 63.3, the highest level since the March 2012 election,” Mr Nicholls said.
“Importantly, 58 per cent of businesses think economic conditions in Queensland will continue to improve over the next 12 months.
“Almost 40 per cent of businesses reported they expect general business conditions to improve over the December quarter.”
The results show a majority of businesses believe general conditions remained the same or stronger over the September quarter this year.
A majority of businesses also indicated general business conditions remained the same (43 per cent) or stronger (30 per cent) over the September quarter.
