Australian office markets recorded the strongest demand in 35 years in 2007 Jones Lang LaSalle research has revealed.
Demand, measured by net absorption for all markets, was approximately 966,000sqm in the 12 months to December – almost four times the average recorded since 1971.

“Office markets across the country enter 2008 with low levels of vacancy and very healthy levels of tenant demand that is still being supported by a robust Australian economy,” Jones Lang LaSalle forecasting analyst Dr Jatin Chand said.
