Eighteen mortgage professionals and offices from across Queensland were announced as winners at The Adviser’s Better Business Awards in Brisbane last night.
The awards night recognised the state's top performers across a range of categories.

The event’s most coveted title, Broker of the Year, was awarded to Matt Carr of MC Mortgage Solutions. The loan writer was also named Best Finance Broker for the second year running.
Charlie Zhu of Mortgage Choice Sunnybank Hills took home the title of Best Residential Broker, while Daniel Holden of HoldenCAPITAL won Best Commercial Broker.
The Rising Star award was given to Julian Collins of Mortgage Choice Toowoomba and Darling Downs, while Phil Carr of MC Mortgage Solutions claimed the top spot in the Best Newcomer category.
Phil Rogers of Loan Market Townsville City became the first person to pick up the event’s newly introduced title of Best Regional Broker.
In recognition of outstanding team work, Cube Central was named Best Independent Office, while Mortgage Choice Brisbane City won the top gong for Best Branded Office, and Mortgage Choice Cairns took home the award for Best Regional Office.
In the broker support categories, the award for Best Customer Service for an individual went to James Buchanan of Aussie Morningside, while Cornerstone Home Loans picked up the award for the combined Best Customer Service of its office.
Liberty Financial Services’ Margaret Harder won Best Lender BDM (non-bank), while Kymberly Mylonas of Suncorp Bank claimed Best Lender BDM (bank), while FAST’s Mark Lewis won Best Aggregator BDM.
Best Loan Administrator went to Lisa Field of Investor Loans Network Gold Coast and Time Home Loans scooped up the award for Best Community Engagement Program.
Last but not least, The Adviser’s Editor’s Choice award was presented to George Samios of MADD Loans.
