Brokers will have until 30 June to register for their ACL, a key requirement under the new National Consumer Credit Protection Regime.
ASIC is encouraging brokers to register as soon as possible.
If a broker registers before 18 June, ASIC has guaranteed it will make a decision before the 30 June cut-off date. Any applications registered after this time, will not be given the same gauarantee.
From 1 July, registered brokers will then have a further six months to apply for a credit licence.
