ING DIRECT said that it is “proud to support” the ranking, as assisting people with achieving their financial goals is what drives the challenger bank.
“The Commercial Business Writers ranking enables us to recognise brokers who are providing the highest quality advice and service to meet their clients’ commercial needs, and shine a light on the growing importance of commercial lending within the industry,” the bank said.
The lender also highlighted that over the past year it has seen a surge in commercial applications as brokers have “strived to highlight to their clients the opportunities for building wealth in the commercial sector”.
“In line with this growing trend, we’ve focused on giving our brokers the support necessary to leverage commercial opportunities,” it said.
“We’ve increased our commercial sales and credit risks teams, have expanded our credit appetite to include larger and more complex transactions, and have embarked on an aggressive commercial loan growth project to further establish our presence in the commercial lending market,” a spokesperson for the bank said.
The full Commercial Business Writers ranking – to be published in the December edition of The Adviser magazine – takes into account brokers writing commercial loans, equipment finance, vehicle finance, cash flow finance, debtor/inventory finance and business finance written in the 2015-2016 financial year.
All brokers involved in the commercial space are urged to complete a submission. Entries close soon.
