The small business lender has announced that it has appointed two new state-based business development managers (BDMs) to “foster the growth of broker channel”.
Former Bankwest BDM Adrian Dodson will be joining OnDeck Australia as its Victoria-based BDM, while former NAB business banking manager Tim Kwast has been appointed as the BDM for Queensland.

Mr Dodson has held relationship executive roles across corporate and institutional banking at the Bank of Melbourne, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Westpac, while Mr Kwast has 18 years’ worth of experience with the National Australia Bank, including in regional NSW.
OnDeck Australia’s head of sales Michael Burke, who was brought in at the beginning of the year to facilitate OnDeck’s expansion into the broker channel, said that Mr Dodson and Mr Kwast were “terrific assets” adding that they will “play important part in supporting [OnDeck’s] growth into the broking market”.
CEO Cameron Poolman added: “Both Queensland and Victoria are key markets in the Australian broking landscape and this is an exciting time for us to now have dedicated people to identify new business opportunities in these regions.”
