Having worked in the agricultural sector all his life, Mr Robertson has experience in dairy farming and large-scale grazing operations, and he has held various management roles at Elders including real estate, livestock and merchandise.
He has an Associate Diploma in Farm Management and also holds a Real Estate Agents licence for Tasmania.
“We are delighted to announce that Robinson Sewell Partners has officially launched our Tasmanian office and would like to take this opportunity to welcome David Robertson to the team,” the company said in a statement.
“David will bring deep expertise across the agribusiness value chain when it comes to strategic banking, financial structures and funding efficiencies for farmers and agribusiness across the state.”
Mr Robertson said that he was looking forward to “providing funding proficiency into progressive agricultural businesses to leverage intelligent cost-efficient capital for expansion or succession”.
He added: “[For] any business seeking the next step in the evolution of expansion or innovation, change is required.
“Our expertise in agribusiness finance allows a business to capture these funding opportunities with quiet efficiency as we take on that role of responsibility. This way the client can focus on the business while we focus on the funding outcome.”
The move comes just two months after the company expanded into South Australia with the appointment of Deb Purvis.
