The race took place in November and comprised of either an 82-kilometre course or a shorter 58-kilometre course.
Sixty-two members of the Loan Market Top Raisers team helped surpass the team’s efforts of raising $100,000 – with the final tally coming in at $112,048.14 and making the team the top fundraising group on 2019 MS Sydney to the Gong ride.
The cycling team included brokers, such as Jason Basseal of Loan Market Burwood and Greg Butt from Loan Market Canberra, as well as several of Loan Market’s referral partners.
Loan Market’s NSW/ACT state director, Michael Karpathakis, said he was thrilled that the Loan Market team came out on top in the fundraising efforts.
“Brokers play an important role in the lives of the community, helping clients in their financial journeys,” Mr Karpathakis said.
“Brokers value the support they receive from the community, and this is just one way in which we give back.
“It was great to see many of Loan Market’s referral partners join us on the ride as well. Our brokers are well connected in the business community and are proud to work with professionals who also appreciate the importance of giving back to the community.”
