Australia’s job market continues to go from strength to strength, according to latest figures.

The Advantage Job Index found online job advertisements increased by 3.29 per cent in September.
The increase followed a 2.81 per cent rise in August. In fact the number of positions vacant has risen for thirteen consecutive weeks.
The positive data can be attributed to a strengthening local economy overshadowing global economic worries and a more stable political situation.
That renewed confidence is also making employers change their hiring strategies. They are now focusing on permanent hires – both full time and part time over temporary and contract.
The Advantage Job Index is now 25.2 per cent above this time last year, 8.78 per cent higher than six months ago and 4.82 per cent over the quarter.
The continued strength in employment has given the RBA further ammunition to use when the Board meets early next month to discuss rates.
The Board left the official cash rate on hold at 4.5 per cent this month – shocking industry pundits.
