Group publisher Alex Whitlock said that the achievement bore testament to the leading position The Adviser had built within the broking industry.
“It is fantastic to receive this kind of recognition from BRW,” said Mr Whitlock.
“Since we launched in 2007 we’ve been committed to delivering news and intelligence to brokers via multiple channels and this has earned us a loyal industry following.”
In the first year that it was eligible Sterling Publishing – the only publishing company in this year’s ranking – was placed 82nd. The company also recorded outstanding growth of 116 per cent in FY 2009/10 according to the report.
However, it is not just BRW that has recognised the growth of The Adviser.
The Adviser was the only industry print magazine that registered an increase in circulation between 2009 and 2010 with a distribution of 10,630, according to Circulations Audit Board (CAB) data.
It has also registered strong online readership growth with 18,563 unique browsers recorded in March – an increase of more than 15 per cent on the previous year according to CAB data.
“The Adviser’s readership has soared year on year as the industry increasingly looks for a more informed publication – this is one of the reasons that advertisers see our print and online product as the primary channel to connect with the broking industry,” Mr Whitlock said.
