Brisbane residents are swapping suburbia for island living, according to new research.
Mirvac’s Ephraim island luxury residential development on the northern Gold Coast has enjoyed a boost in sales activity, with a number of apartments selling in the last few months.
Mirvac’s Queensland chief executive Matthew Wallace said that Ephraim Island’s location on the northern Gold Coast and only a short drive to the M1 made it easy for people to shift from city living to island living and commute.
“When you look at the lifestyle that is provided at Ephraim Island with its marina, restaurant, day spa, fully equipped gymnasium and magnificent water vistas it isn’t a hard decision to make and quite a few former Brisbanites have done just that,” he said.
“They either drive up to the city each day or many catch the train at Helensvale and do the commute that way.”
