Steve Weston, NAB’s general manager of broker platforms at Advantedge, has announced he will be leaving his position to take up a new role in the United Kingdom.

Mr Weston is set to take up the position of managing director of mortgages at Barclays Bank.

NAB’s executive general manager of growth partnerships Antony Cahill said Mr Weston had made a significant contribution to NAB’s broker platform business.

“Steve has driven a number of initiatives that have supported the strong gains we are making in broker satisfaction, including the delivery of innovative product and service solutions for our broker partners,” Mr Cahill said.

“The role at Barclays will provide Steve with the opportunity to broaden his experience by working in an offshore market and sitting on Barclays’ UK Retail and Business Banking executive committee.”

Mr Weston started with the NAB Business in 2005, initially during the Challenger days as general manager of residential and commercial lending and more recently with Advantedge as general manager of broker platforms.

“Steve will leave the business in good shape for the future. We are undertaking a global search for this role to ensure we maintain our strong growth rates,” Mr Cahill said.
