Ms McKnight joins the team armed with more than 25 years experience in the finance industry spanning both sales and risk/compliance functions.
During her career, Ms McKnight has spent time in financial planning as well as mortgages, having launched PLAN Australia in Queensland.
Since launching the aggregator, Ms McKnight has held a variety of other roles including head of compliance and risk management for broker platforms at Advantedge.
ALI Group chief executive officer Ray Hair said Ms McKnight stood out to him not only from their time working together at PLAN but for her work on the implementation of the National Consumer Credit Protection legislation into broker’s businesses.
“ALI is on a journey, we’re working on new and innovative ways to work with broker groups. The industry is beginning to welcome the concept of advice and more and more brokers are coming around to the concept that simplified risk insurance has a real place within their business. We need to have the right team in order to realise these opportunities,” he said.
