Firstmac, which has predominately provided wholesale home loan lending, has taken up the prominent sleeve spot on the Broncos jersey, to raise the profile of the company.
Firstmac managing director Kim Cannon said the company was excited about the new partnership as it would take Firstmac directly to consumers on a regular basis.
“As the new force in financial services we wanted to partner with a team that could help us get cut-through in a very crowded market dominated by the banks,” said Mr Cannon.
Broncos’ chief executive Paul White praised the Firstmac management for the swiftness in which the agreement was struck.
“It is obviously a challenge to lose a significant sponsor on the eve of the season,” Mr White said.
“So for Firstmac to join the Broncos’ sponsorship family so quickly is a wonderful endorsement for not only our brand but for this company’s willingness to launch their retail business into the wider community.
“We are certain this new partnership will be mutually beneficial and look forward to this being the start of a long association with Firstmac.”
