Earlier this week, the company appointed Amanda Bird to the role.
In her new position, Ms Bird, who comes armed with extensive experience in the financial services sector, will be responsible for driving new business in Queensland.
“Amanda has over 20 years experience working in business development and finance roles, seven years of which was spent in the debtor finance industry. The Queensland market is growing rapidly and represents 15 per cent of total debtor factoring turnover, equivalent to $62.9 billion in the 12 months to 30 December 2012,” Bibby Financial Services’ national sales director Gary Green said.
“Our decision to strengthen our sales and operations team in Queensland is reflective of the potential we see in this market. We have firm plans to expand our presence in Queensland over the next 12 months and Amanda’s appointment will help build awareness of Bibby’s debtor finance solutions. Our recent small business survey found over 80 per cent of small businesses Australia-wide are struggling with cash flow, and it is imperative that businesses know that an alternative solution, such as debtor finance, exists.”
Ms Bird said she was excited to join Bibby Financial Services at a time when the demand for debtor finance is on the rise.
“With an innate understanding of the financial challenges facing small businesses, I look forward to working with Bibby’s experienced team in Queensland to educate and build awareness of debtor finance as an alternative cash flow solution,” she said.
