The 2009 final standings will be revealed in the July issue of Mortgage Business.
Huw Bough, general manager of Westpac mortgage broker distribution, said the Mortgage Business ranking marked a coming of age for the broking industry.
“Recognition of the top groups is of considerable value – not only to those that make the final ranking but for the industry as a whole. Top practitioners are recognised in other areas of financial services and so the Top 25 Brokerage ranking is a welcomed move.”
Mr Bough said Australia’s broking industry has weathered a torrid 18 months and emerged without conceding any ground – if anything it has become stronger.
“It is clear that many Australians now have a strong preference for the services a broker can deliver and this bears testament to the overall quality across our industry,” Mr Bough said.
“Westpac is committed to the broker channel and focused on supporting those brokers that take responsibility for the future of their business right now. We are proud to partner Mortgage Business in its recognition of the leading brokerage groups.”
