Building approvals figures released by the ABS today have revealed a 2.0 per cent rise in total dwelling approvals for November 2007 based on trend estimates, up 11.2 per cent from November last year.
According to the ABS approvals for private sector houses rose by 1.5 per cent, with other private dwelling approvals climbing by 3.9 per cent – giving the aggregate 2.0 per cent rise.

The seasonally adjusted estimate for total dwellings approvals rose by 8.9 per cent – promising a brighter outlook for 2008 after a revised fall of 3.6 per cent in October.
