The mutual sector is outperforming the major banks in customer satisfaction, according to the latest Roy Morgan research data.
The Roy Morgan analysis found that the mutual sector is outstripping the four major banks by 91.4 per cent to 81.9 per cent when it comes to customer satisfaction.

Customer-Owned Banking Association chief executive Louise Petschler said it was a strong result for the sector.
“We are working hard to encourage more Australians to do their banking with us and take up more of our innovative products backed by outstanding service,” Ms Petschler said.
“Our long time record as the leader in customer satisfaction speaks for itself, but we want to attract new customers to build on our strong presence across Australia,” she added.
