Trilogy Funding broker Deanna Ezzy said Canberra is not only clean and attractive but also makes good territory for a broker because there are “lots of public servants on high incomes”.
Most places are just a short drive away, while “everyone knows everyone, so generating referral business isn’t difficult”, she said.
“People don’t mind coming to see us at our office because it only takes them 10 minutes to drive here, with free parking outside,” she told The Adviser.
“Canberra is central – clients and referral partners in Sydney and Melbourne are only just down the road.”
Fellow Trilogy broker Curtis Lunney also said Canberra was a good place to be a broker.
“It is very much a town where networking is key, and much of our business is based on personal referrals,” he said.
“We also have great access to our BDM network here, and this enables us to build good relationships that can only help us provide the very best service to our clients.”
