A former CEO of Deutsche Bank ANZ has become deputy chairman of mortgage manager Homeloans Ltd.
Chum Darvall, who was most recently non-executive vice-chairman of Deutsche Bank, took up the role as Homeloans’ deputy chairman on 5 April.

He held the role of CEO at Deutsche Bank Australia and New Zealand from 2002-2011 and was the chairman of TransGrid, appointed by the NSW government, until its sale in December 2015.
Mr Darvall has worked in a variety of roles across the banking industry during his career, including several positions in the financial markets division of Westpac.
In 2014, Mr Darvall was awarded a Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to the finance and banking sector, and through contributions to not-for-profit organisations and the performing arts.
The new Homeloans deputy chairman is a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
He is also on the board of Port of Portland, Online Media Holdings and the Financial Markets Foundation for Children, is the chairman of digital analytics firm Lens10, and is a council member of Macquarie University.
