St George is capitalising on the iPhone mania, partnering with mobile platform specialist Insqribe to launch a property iPhone application that uses ‘augmented reality’ technology to give potential homebuyers real time property information.

The new application allows users to point the camera on their iPhone at the house or apartment they are interested in and receive for sale or rental information, as well as data on what nearby properties have sold for recently.
St George Bank managing director Southern NSW and ACT Andrew Moore said the new mobile tool arms homebuyers and renters with vital property information.
“The App also lets you search for properties available for sale or rent by suburb, or by your current location, using your iPhone’s GPS technology. You can even filter your search based on price range, property type, recent sales information and suburb. All the essential property details are available including the contact details of the real-estate agent,” Mr Moore said.
