ANZ is the best mortgage lender for first home buyers, according to a review by Canstar Cannex.

The home loan comparison website ranked 60 lenders and more than 400 products to determine which lender provided the best whole home buying experience.
ANZ was ranked first on the back of its educational support and home loan features.
“In this climate of rising interest rates, all the banks provide a range of services that assist getting Australians into their own homes. ANZ, however, offers a full range of educational support, product features, flexibility of offerings, and ease of access to its home loan people,” Canstar Cannex financial analyst Mitchell Watson said.
ANZ was placed first in every state and territory, except Canberra and Tasmania, where the CBA took out the top honours.
“There’s no doubt the major banks have the edge when it comes to state and national coverage but non-bank lenders play a vital role by providing healthy competition in the lending market,” Mr Watson said.
