ING has announced that it has appointed a new head of third-party distribution and direct mortgages.
From 5 November, the current general manager of Yellow Brick Road (YBR), Glenn Gibson, will take responsibility for driving the relationships with ING’s broker partners, distribution clients and the industry.

He will report to Melanie Evans, ING’s head of retail banking.
Speaking of the news, Ms Evans said: “I’m looking forward to the contribution Glenn will bring given his extensive experience in leading teams, client relations and championing the industry.”
Mr Gibson was appointed as GM of YBR earlier this year after more than eight years at AMP, where he was responsible for its broker, direct and retention channels, delivering significant year-on-year growth in market share.
The announcement of Mr Gibson’s move comes as YBR faces a takeover offer posed by Mercantile OFM.
