
The ACCC has chosen a former NAB, CBA and Westpac staffer to head up its new standalone consumer data right division.
Mr Franklin has more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry, having also been involved in the development of Australia’s New Payments Platform.
With the appointment, Scott Gregson, executive general manager of merger and authorisation review, has transitioned away from CDR activities.
The launch of open banking, which forces the big four banks to share consumer data, was recently delayed until July from its original February deadline.
