Resimac strengthens broker support with new hires

by Adrian Suljanovic8 minute read

The non-bank lender has announced three new hires for its residential mortgage and asset finance businesses in NSW, Queensland, and Victoria.

In an effort to bolster support for brokers, Resimac has hired two business development managers (BDM) — Stefanie O'Connell and Craig Platt — and new head of lending Adam Daniels.

Based in Queensland on the Gold Coast, Ms O'Connell most recently worked as a BDM with one of the major banks and carries 11 years of experience in financial services from several roles.

Ms O'Connell is focused on helping brokers better understand and benefit from the non-bank lender’s specialist and prime home loan products.

“I enjoy building relationships with brokers as well as finding out what is important to them so that I can help them succeed in their business,” Ms O'Connell stated.

A new addition to Resimac Asset Finance, Mr Platt has been brought on board to its Victorian team, introducing more brokers to the non-bank lender’s solutions for car and equipment loans.

Mr Platt brings more than a decade of experience in consumer and commercial finance and was a senior BDM for an asset finance provider prior to his appointment with Resimac.

Mr Platt said his specialty is in commercial equipment finance and he enjoys assisting his broker network with funding solutions for their clients.

Mr Daniels enters the newly created role as head of lending on the heels of 25 years of experience in banking and financial services. This role places Mr Daniels at the helm of Resimac’s prime and specialist lending teams.

The new head of lending is in charge of driving improvements in credit assessment and utilises his experience from serving customers and introducers on the frontline.

On his appointment, Mr Daniels commented: “One of the things that drew me to Resimac was the opportunity to support brokers and the great work they do, using my customer and broker focus when making credit decisions.”
