“While businesses are presented with many opportunities, they also face the pitfalls of trying to navigate increasingly interconnected financial markets.
“My job is to work closely with finance executives in Queensland and across Australia to navigate these challenges and help with solutions that mitigate risk from currency fluctuations, manage cash flow and protect their bottom line,” Mr Box stated.
Ebury has been operating in Australia since 2018 with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and funds trading internationally.
The fintech has trade finance and foreign exchange capabilities in over 130 currencies and offices in 21 countries.
At the time of its expansion, the London-headquartered fintech was set to target 20,000 Australian SMEs after it opened its first Sydney office.
Melbourne Rebels partnership
Ebury entered an agreement with Australian professional rugby union side, the Melbourne Rebels.
The deal saw the fintech feature on the team’s jerseys during the Super Rugby Pacific competition over the next three years.
Ebury Asia-Pacific managing director Rick Roache said at the time: “We are excited to see the Ebury brand front and centre of the Rebels’ jersey as they take part in the new Super Rugby Pacific competition.
“Like us, they are an ambitious and entrepreneurial organisation that has big goals to compete on a global scale. We are very proud to be supporting an organisation with such a strong sense of [its] core values that align to Ebury’s, in particular [its] focus on diversity,” Mr Roache said.
