He will work closely with Paul Herbert, AMP Bank’s head of lending and everyday banking distribution.
Herbert himself was part of AMP’s recent restructuring of its home lending team back in May 2024, stepping out of the role of the bank’s head of intermediary distribution and finance.
With over 30 years of experience in the banking and franchising sectors, Hall brings a wealth of expertise to AMP Bank.
His most recent position was head of franchise distribution at Yellow Brick Road (YBR). Hall has previously led distribution teams at prominent organisations including Tatts Group, Refund Home Loans, GE Money, Terrain Home Loans, and Westpac, where he built strong and trusted relationships within the broking industry.
Herbert expressed enthusiasm about Hall’s appointment: “We’re delighted to have Travis join the team given his deep knowledge and understanding of what brokers and their customers need, particularly given our ongoing focus on partnering with brokers and small businesses.
“His 30-plus years’ experience in the financial services and franchising industries, and the trusted relationships he’s established over many years will greatly benefit our business, those we partner with and ultimately our customers.”
Commenting on his new role, Hall said: “I’m thrilled to be joining AMP Bank – a team clearly committed to working in close partnership with brokers to deliver the best possible experiences for their clients.
“This is evident through the bank’s recent partnerships with Simpology and MSA, which will transform its loan origination process.
“I’m also excited by AMP Bank’s broader focus on supporting Australia’s small-business owners where there is undoubtedly an opportunity for better finance and banking solutions which help them operate their businesses more efficiently and profitably.”
Hall’s appointment coincides with AMP Bank’s recent announcements of partnerships with Simpology and MSA National.
According to AMP, the partnership with MSA aimed to “transform” the bank’s settlement process. It allows brokers and customers to have access to MSA’s loan tracking platforms – “LoanTrak” for brokers and “OnTrak” for customers – while offering an “unprecedented level of transparency and collaboration in real time”.
The bank is also progressing towards the launch of its new digital small-business and consumer bank, powered by Engine by Starling technology, set to debut in the first quarter of 2025.
