Loralle Slater to step down from RedZed, successor appointed

by Annie Kane12 minute read

RedZed’s chief sales and marketing officer, Loralle Slater, will depart this week, with NAB's former head of private wealth taking over the role.

Non-bank lender RedZed has appointed a new chief sales and marketing officer to lead its broker sales and marketing offerings.

Natalie Irvine – who most recently served as the head of private wealth at National Australia Bank (NAB) - joined the self-employed lender earlier this month (2 October).

Irvine takes over the role from Slater - who will finish up this Friday (25 October) following an 18-year career at the lender.

The new chief sales and marketing officer has more than 15 years of experience across the financial services and health sectors, having worked at NAB for more than 12 years (including in private wealth and regional agribusiness) and having been a director at Goulburn Murray Credit Union and Goulburn Valley Health.

Noting the new hire, RedZed highlighted Irvine’s “proven track record as a passionate, strategic, and engaging leader” and said her skills were “well-suited to supporting brokers as they strive to meet the unique needs of self-employed borrowers with complex income and borrowing requirements”.

RedZed’s managing director Calvin Cordle said: “Having worked alongside Natalie for many years at NAB, I have witnessed firsthand the passion, commitment, and courage she brings to everything she does, personally and professionally. Her unique ability to unite teams and drive results is truly remarkable.

“I am confident that the sales and marketing teams and the broader business will significantly benefit from her expertise and diverse skill set and enjoy her down-to-earth nature and inspiring leadership style.

“Natalie is not only an outstanding finance professional but a wonderful person, and I’m thrilled to welcome her and her family to RedZed.”

Irvine said: “I’m delighted to be joining a longstanding company that understands the needs of self-employed borrowers and helps to fuel their success.

“RedZed has a fantastic culture and an experienced and value-driven leadership team, and I can’t wait to work with them, contribute to their vision and support my new colleagues, our broker partners and the self-employed community.”

Recognising Slater’s legacy

As well as welcoming the new hire, RedZed paid homage to Slater, who was one of the founding members of the RedZed team and has worked at the lender for the past 18 years.

She is stepping down from the role after deciding to move out of full-time work in order to spend more time with her children.

Thanking Slater for her work and “significant contribution to RedZed”, Cordle said: “As a member of RedZed’s founding team and a dedicated and inspiring leader and staff member for the last 18 years, I cannot begin to comment on the depth and breadth of Loralle Slater’s contribution to RedZed.

“Over the last 12 months alone, Loralle has led the delivery of enhancements to our digital roadmap, our SMSF products, our Prime XL product, our new marketing strategy, and most recently, RedZed’s new offset sub-account functionality.

“Loralle’s experience, customer focus, consistent positivity and ability to deliver have been invaluable to our business and our people, and RedZed wouldn’t be what it is without her. Thank you, Loralle.”
