Moula has promoted from within for its new business development manager position for Victoria and Tasmania.
SME lender Moula has named Nicholas Lim as its new business development manager (BDM) in its partner sales team in Victoria and Tasmania.
Lim joined Moula two years ago as a sales associate, where he supported brokers with questions relating to Moula products over the phone.
He has now been promoted to BDM (effective 24 March) and is tasked with building in-person relationships with brokers and supporting them with their lending needs.
Prior to joining Moula, Lim was a loan support specialist at SME lender Bizcap for a year and also has experience as a compliance officer, among other finance roles.
Moula’s head of sales Sam Sfeir welcomed Lim to the new role, saying: “The expansion of our sales team reflects our ongoing commitment to our partners in Victoria and Tasmania.
“We’re thrilled to see Nicholas step into this role. His experience, deep understanding of SME lending, and his passion for working with brokers make him a great fit for our team. We look forward to his positive impact on our partners in the region.”
Lim said: “I’m looking forward to meeting our broker partners in person and learning how I can best support their businesses. Moula has always been committed to helping brokers provide fast, responsible funding solutions to SMEs and I’m excited to be part of the journey.”
Lending to SMEs has picked up in recent years, growing by around 25 per cent between the start of 2022 and October 2024, according to the Reserve Bank of Australia.
