Bridgit appoints new CCO, welcomes new BDMs

8 minute read

A new chief commercial officer and three additional business development managers have been appointed at the non-bank following significant growth.

Bridging finance specialist Bridgit has announced that its head of distribution Stephen Doyle has been appointed to the executive team as chief commercial officer (CCO), effective immediately.

In his new role, he will be responsible for driving Bridgit’s commercial program and diversifying and growing distribution channels.

Doyle first joined the lender in 2022 from Loan Market Group, where he was the director of growth.

Over the three years since, the leader has overseen the development of the lender’s broker distribution team, which has tripled in size in the past year due to significant business growth. Indeed, according to the lender, the number of Bridgit loans funded grew threefold in the first quarter of this calendar year compared to the same period in 2024.

CEO of Bridgit, Aaron Bassin, said: “Stephen has played a pivotal role in driving Bridgit’s rapid growth in the broker channel. As chief commercial officer, he’ll ensure this momentum continues, expanding our reach and further diversifying our distribution strategy.

“After a significant period of growth in 2024 and the success of our white-label partnerships with Connective and Finsure, Stephen will focus on keeping Bridgit at the forefront of innovation in the non-bank lending space, unlocking this through third-party engagements.

“We are lucky to have Stephen as part of our executive team, as we look to continue on our growth trajectory.”

Doyle said he was “excited to take on this new position and help lead Bridgit through its next growth phase”.

“Bridgit has been on an incredible trajectory, embedding itself as the go-to for innovative, flexible and accessible bridging solutions that meet the needs of brokers and their client,” Doyle said.

New BDMs appointed

As well as the COO announcement, the lender has also hired three additional state-based business development managers (BDMs) to support increased demand, effective immediately.

Natalie Viney, who was most recently a partnership manager at aggregation group Connective, has joined Bridgit as BDM for NSW/ACT.

She brings more than 15 years’ experience in the mortgage sector, including as a qualified financial adviser and mortgage broker

Oleg Mazkovoi also joins the NSW team, moving from SCM Financial Group. He has extensive experience in building broker relationships through a number of major and non-major lenders during the past decade. He also has experience as an independent mortgage broker, having been the principal broker at Boutique Mortgage Solutions for four years.

Jamie Stevenson has also joined Bridgit as a BDM in Victoria, making the move from Islamic lender Hejaz. The former broker has extensive business development experience in the mortgage lending space, having previously held home lending and BDM roles at CommBank, HSBC, and Westpac.

Bassin said: “Oleg, Natalie and Jamie will be warmly welcomed to our state-based distribution team.

“They bring a wealth of expertise in building broker relationships, allowing us to offer even more personalised and local support, unlocking new opportunities for brokers and their clients.”

Doyle said: “The number of accredited brokers on the Bridgit platform doubled in the last year, and with the addition of Natalie, Oleg and Jamie to our team, we’re well positioned to service ever-increasing demand and continue this momentum, building deeper connections within the market and supporting brokers in offering exceptional value to their clients.”

Earlier this year, Bridgit appointed five BDMs to its team, enabling it to provide localised support to its broker network nationwide.
