Research from Credit Suisse found NAB increased its mortgage lending 15.8 per cent in the year to May.
Rivals Commonwealth Bank, Westpac and ANZ posted slower growth in mortgages, which account for 63 per cent of all lending.
The success of NAB’s advertising campaign is good news for brokers, as the bank’s latest television commercial directly encourages viewers to talk to their broker.
The voice over in the advertisement says "speak to your Nab banker or broker today."
NAB's executive general manager growth portfolio Antony Cahill told The Adviser earlier this year that the bank is “100 per cent committed” to the broker channel, so it made sense to reference brokers in their advertising campaign.
"We understand that borrowers want to deal with brokers, so we want to support and help this relationship grow,” Mr Cahill said.
