Sintex has highlighted its ongoing commitment to commercial brokers, with the appointment of a new support employee.

Mark Nyman was this week hired by the company in a bid to drive greater commercial sales directly through the broker channel.

Mr Nyman brings over 14 years experience to the newly created role, including four years in the commercial banking sector.

According to the company’s general manager Cathy Dimarchos, Mr Nyman was instrumental in setting up the commercial intermediary business at St George Bank.

“As a senior business development manager at the bank, Mark’s prime responsibility was to introduce new commercial loan policies to the aggregation network. He was also in charge of both the broker channel and training and introducing relationship managers to intermediaries,” Ms Dimarchos said.

“Mark freely admits that there is a need for a new commercial lender in the market place. He believes Sintex’s decision to offer the commercial product directly to brokers was a sound move and expects the company to shed some new enthusiasm to intermediary members.”
