For the second consecutive year, The Adviser has ranked Australia's second tier banks, with one lender narrowly beating its competitors to claim the top position.

Suncorp placed first overall, winning 6 of the 17 categories in the Third Party Banking Report - Second Tier Lenders, including credit assessment staff, broker interaction, client support and BDMs.
Bankwest also performed well in the ranking finishing second and taking the top position in five categories including cross sell and product range.
ING DIRECT secured third position, dropping down from first place last year.
While the bank didn’t manage to secure the title of Australia’s best Second Tier Lender for the second consecutive year, it still performed well across the board, taking out first place in four of the 17 categories.
