“Emöke is a well known, credible and respected figure in the broker industry, especially in the local markets of Victoria and Tasmania. Emöke brings a wealth of sales management experience and knowledge to the role, with a background in retail bank lending across major banks and non-banks,” ING DIRECT’s head of broker distribution Mark Woolnough said.
"Along with this, she’s incredibly passionate about the Victorian market and is committed to build the ING DIRECT brand in the state.”
Ms Palos is charged with increasing the exposure of ING DIRECT to the Victorian broker market and ensuring an excellent broker experience across the state.
Ms Palos’ appointment comes just a month before ING DIRECT rolls out its new Broker Partner Program.
According to Mr Woolnough, the program was built on the back of broker feedback and consists of several initiatives that are designed to support the third party distribution channel in their day to day dealings with the lender.
“We have continually asked our brokers for feedback. They have told us what they want and now we are going to roll out these initiatives throughout this year through our new Broker Partner Program,” he said.
“Some of the initiatives are already in motion, such as our commitment to bolstering our number of credit support staff.”
Mr Woolnough said greater details about the Broker Partner Program would be unveiled at the lender’s roadshows, which kick off in May.
