Australia’s leading lenders are set to vie for the title of Australia’s Best Lender once again, with the assessment period for the 2013 Australian Lending Awards officially commencing today.

Now in its third year, the prestigious Australian Lending Awards recognises leadership, product innovation, outstanding service and success across retail, wholesale and third-party segments of the mortgage industry.

The 2013 Australian Lending Awards consists of 15 award categories, including Best Investor Lender, Best First Home Buyer Lender and Best Third Party Lender.
Commonwealth Bank was the big winner in 2012, taking out four award categories including the much lauded Mortgage Lender of the Year award.
According to The Adviser’s Group Publisher Alex Whitlock, the Australian Lending Awards has fast become the benchmark for success in the Australian mortgage market.
“As the most comprehensive research-based industry awards, the Australian Lending Awards has been quick to establish itself as the leading indicator for success in mortgage lending,” he said.
“Now, more than ever, Australian consumers are looking for guidance as to which lending institutions they can trust and an Australian Lending Award is an invaluable marketing tool for lenders to communicate their leading market proposition to customers.”
In addition to lender submissions, which will be assessed by a panel of judges, the Australian Lending Awards winners are also determined by the votes of 6,000 Australian consumers and 500 mortgage brokers.
Brokers will be invited to share their opinions on the nation’s lenders’ products and service levels in a survey to be sent out by The Adviser later this month.
The winners of the 2013 Australian Lending Awards will be revealed at a prestigious gala awards dinner at Sydney’s Intercontinental Hotel on Friday 15 February 2013.
A joint initiative of The Adviser and RFi, the Australian Lending Awards is part of the Australian Lending Summit.
The Australian Lending Summit also includes the Australian Mortgage Conference, which will take place on the same day as the awards dinner – Friday 15 February, 2013.
