The bank appointed Christine Christian and Justin Milne to the ME Bank Board.
Ms Christian comes with a wealth of experience, having held various roles in credit risk, both in Australia and overseas, over the past 30 years. Ms Christian has, in addition, spent the past 14 years in the role of chief executive officer of Dun & Bradstreet Australia and New Zealand.
Mr Milne has extensive experience building and running successful digital businesses. He has been chief executive of the Microsoft Network, of OzEmail and was group managing director at Telstra, running BigPond and Telstra Media.
Mr Milne has been behind many high profile marketing campaigns and in 2008 received the Business Person of the Year award from the Australian Institute of Marketing.
ME Bank’s chairman, Bernie Fraser, said the appointments added digital marketing and credit risk experience to the Board and follow the recent appointments of Sally Herman and Ken Hodgson in January 2012, which extended the Board’s retail banking experience.
“The Board is pleased to welcome our new directors, including Sally and Ken,” Mr Fraser said.
“The breadth and depth of experience they bring to the Board complements our existing skill set and will assist the bank in providing a genuinely fairer banking alternative to members of industry super funds, affiliated unions and employer associations”.
“The Board would also like to thank our recently retired directors, Anna Booth, Sandy Grant and John Ries, for their service and contribution to the bank over a number of years.”
