Last week, the non-bank lender was awarded Excellence in Mortgage Fund Management as well as Excellence and Innovation in Australian Management – Independent.
According to a statement from La Trobe Financial, the awards recognise the world’s best in wealth management, brokerage and asset management.
La Trobe’s chief executive Greg O’Neill said it was pleasing to see the hard work of the non-bank’s team being rewarded.
“Our core values and a thorough understanding of the business environment in which we operate all contribute to this. We are very proud to accept these two international Awards on behalf of our hardworking staff and investors,” Mr O’Neill said.
Accompanying Mr O’Neill at the function was the Group’s Hong Kong-based board member, Mr Hung Fei Chan, who made mention of La Trobe Financial’s Pooled Mortgages Option’s outstanding performance throughout the global financial crisis.
“These Awards highlight the innovative approach and features offered by La Trobe Financial to investors: First, a separately managed account structure – to better secure investors’ rights and entitlement to assets invested; second, a dedicated income reserve – designed to provide investors with significant protection; and third, a term investment – providing certainty for investors and a better match between underlying assets and liabilities,” he said.
