Among the changes, it was revealed that Mr Flavell, who has held the position of general manager distribution for the past six years, will now take up the role of Executive General Manager Wealth Advice within NAB’s Wealth Business.
NAB Broker is expected to confirm Mr Flavell’s replacement soon.
In addition to Mr Flavell’s promotion, Anthony Waldron has been appointed to lead NAB’s Growth Partnerships business as Executive General Manager, encompassing NAB’s third party mortgage businesses including NAB Broker and Advantedge.
Mr Waldron replaces Antony Cahill, who is moving to a new role within NAB as Executive General Manager, Digital and Direct Banking.
Waldron has been with NAB since 1998 and brings 17 years of third party distribution leadership within wealth management. He comes from the position of Executive General Manager, Business Operations for NAB Personal Banking.
“Brokers are an important channel for the bank and I’m very excited to be joining this team. We are committed to continuing the great growth momentum by supporting our broker partners,” Mr Waldron said.
“Antony and John are well respected in the industry and will continue to provide great leadership for NAB in their new roles.”
Over the last three years Growth Partnerships has grown NAB's mortgage broker-introduced book by approximately 20 per cent per annum. Homeside has also been named Third Party Banking Major Lender of the Year for the past two years.
Advantedge was also recently named as the Wholesale Lender of the Year for the third successive year as well as being an industry leader in providing Broker Platform services.
