According to the bank, the Little Black Book app is a technical guide containing important taxation, superannuation and social security facts and figures regularly required by financial services professionals.
The current version includes the latest age pension and aged care rates and thresholds that came into effect on 20 March 2013. The app is updated each year on 20 March, 1 July and 20 September to coincide with the updates to rates and thresholds.
Head of MAStech, David Barrett, said feedback continued to be very positive.
“In providing almost immediate access to essential facts and figures on a smartphone or tablet, the Little Black Book app means one less reference source that financial services professionals need to carry with them,” he said.
“We see smartphones and tablets as important communication funnels for use with financial services professionals going forward, and we’re keen to provide the tools and information they need via these mediums.
“With that in mind, MAStech has expanded the Little Black Book’s availability to Android devices in response to increasing requests and the need to reflect the substantial number of Android-operated devices owned in the Australian market.
“Users of the version for Apple iOS have commented they appreciate the guide’s comprehensive information, its ease-of-use and the user experience, which was enhanced last year with improvements to the interface and navigation. While there are subtle differences in the Android app’s navigation and features, the look and feel of the iOS app has been retained,” he said.
The Little Black Book is currently available as an app and in hard copy form.
The Apple iOS app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 5.0 or later.
