Earlier this year, the association launched the Balance Banking campaign, which encourages politicians to support an independent inquiry into the banking system, to deliver more banking competition and choice for Australian consumers.
"Voters are quite rightly concerned about banking competition and are very supportive of our campaign,” Balance Banking spokesman Mark Degotardi said.
"Polling shows two out of three Australians want an inquiry, something desperately needed after the global financial crisis cemented the market power and dominance of the major banks.
"Our message to Queenslanders is it’s an issue worth fighting for and we look forward to seeing them at our free community lunch and breakfast events.”
As part of the campaign, a Balance Banking bus will tour Queensland encouraging locals to sign a petition that calls for a banking inquiry.
