More often than not, referral partners are forgotten about and not rewarded as well as they could be.
The first thing to do is create a list of your referral partners and write a number next to each one as to how much ‘value’ they have provided you in 2013. Don’t just think of ‘value’ in dollar terms but also the support they have provided you in time and energy. Once you have completed your list, work out a total budget for thanking your referral partners and tier their gifts.
Some suggestions for recognising your referral partners at Christmas may include: lunches, Red Balloon experiences for their family (much more memorable than a gift card), compendiums, a case of premium wine or beer for their office (it’s not just the principal of the office you have to worry about!), a 2014 whiteboard for their office or some other promotional material.
Oh, and don’t forget the Christmas card with a hand written message!
