Based in Sydney, Mr Lockhart was previously a BDM for invoice financier Waddle. Prior to that, he was at business lender Scottish Pacific as client relationship manager.
Meanwhile, Mr Coates has experience working with small and large corporates in the financial, legal and accounting sectors, in addition to running his own Telstra business dealerships.
Commenting on the appointments, AIF managing director Greg Charlwood said the incoming BDMs will play “central roles in [the lender’s] growth plans for the NSW and Victorian markets”.
“Aris has a wealth of experience in providing cash flow finance to small businesses in the NSW market, and Michael’s 15 years as a successful small-business owner have given him a firsthand understanding of the challenges confronting SMEs,” Mr Charlwood said.
Since launching in August 2017, AIF has claimed to have achieved loan portfolio growth of 120 per cent.
