Prior to this, Mr Vizza held several senior sales roles at LoanKit, Bankwest and CBA.
Them Lam, AFG national manager of strategic partners and recruitment, welcomed the announcement of Mr Vizza’s appointment, stating: “David has more than 10 years’ experience in the finance industry and we are thrilled to have him on board.
“David has a passion for helping his mortgage broking clients grow their businesses and achieve both their personal and financial goals,” Mr Lam said.
He particularly noted that Mr Vizza had won several industry awards and was a finalist in the Better Business Awards Best Aggregator BDM category earlier this year.
“We have no doubt his depth of experience will be an incredible asset to the AFG team,” Mr Lam added.
Commenting on his new role, Mr Vizza said he was “excited” to join AFG at a time of rapid change in the industry.
“I’m excited to join AFG to expand their vision that aggregators are no longer just a panel of lenders and a payment system for commissions,” he said.
“Instead, their value has, and continues to be, in being technology leaders, business coaches and educators.”
Mr Vizza added: “For the past 25 years, AFG has consistently provided value to its brokers through growing their businesses, simplifying complexities and providing a protective compliance framework that actually enables a broker’s business, rather than ‘ticking a box’.
“The industry is more sophisticated, and the role of an aggregator, more demanding than ever. AFG has always led from the front and by example, which suits my leadership style.”
The appointment comes just days after the aggregator announced that it had also welcomed Anita Lindsay to the role of sales manager for Western Australia.
Ms Lindsay, who joined AFG from NAB, will help AFG brokers in WA grow their businesses.
The aggregator also appointed Hayden Cush to the role of national sales manager for its home loans division in June. The appointment formed a part of a restructure of its executive team.
