Mr Cusworth, who is based in Brisbane, was most recently a business development manager for finance brokerage Asset Finance Loans.
Prior to that, he was state manager for non-bank lender Now Finance for the Queensland and Northern Territory regions.
Commenting on the appointment, AIF managing director Greg Charlwood said he was pleased to have a BDM with Mr Cusworth’s depth of credit experience join the team.
“We are extremely excited to have Andy onboard,” Mr Charlwood said.
“He has more than 20 years of business finance experience in the Australian and UK markets. His well-rounded skill set and broad network of contacts will be invaluable as he continues to grow AIF’s presence in Queensland.”
The appointment follows the addition of two new BDMs to AIF’s sales team in August last year to drive growth in two of its major markets.
AIF appointed Aris Lockhart as its BDM for NSW and Michael Coates as BDM for Victoria.
