Resi Mortgage Corporation has announced that its former head of marketing and consumer advocacy, Lisa Montgomery, will drive the non-bank lender’s future growth as its new chief executive officer.
Resi managing director Peter James said Ms Montgomery’s circa 30 years’ experience within the financial services industry would prove an outstanding asset to the company in fulfilling its key goals and objectives moving into the future.
“Lisa has outstanding industry credentials and has been as asset to Resi over the six years she has been with the company,” Mr James said.
“She has already shown she has the necessary foresight and management skills to preserve and build on our competitive edge in the mortgage sector.”
Ms Montgomery said she was excited to be steering Resi’s future growth.
“I was initially drawn to Resi because they had always shown an unwavering commitment to ensuring that competition remains in the mortgage market for the benefit of the consumer – which is something I have always personally championed as well,” she said.
Ms Montgomery brings to the role her experience as the former chief executive officer of Infochoice together with her 18 years’ service with the Newcastle Permanent Building Society, before joining Resi in 2004.
In addition to her new executive duties, Ms Montgomery will continue her role as the company spokesperson on industry-specific topics.
