The financial services group has announced the appointment of a new chief financial officer.
Yellow Brick Road (YBR) has announced that chief operations officer (COO) Stephen McKenzie will take on the role of chief financial officer (CFO).
Mr McKenzie joined YBR in December 2018 as general manager, operations, before assuming the role of COO in August 2019.
Prior to joining YBR, Mr McKenzie held a number of managerial roles at Aussie Home Loans over a period of almost 12 years, including a stint as head of finance from 2007 to 2012.
The new appointee has previously held roles at HIH Insurance, Bupa Australia & New Zealand, and EY Australia.
Mr McKenzie is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds qualifications in applied finance and investment and mortgage broking.
Commenting on his appointment, YBR stated: “[Mr McKenzie] has significant experience in initiating and implementing strategies to grow the P&L of businesses, including increasing customers, driving efficiency gains and improved product margins.
“Stephen’s expertise in financial management and extensive experience, which includes delivering industry-leading services to customer and mortgages brokers as well as driving process and cost efficiencies through automation and technological innovation, will be a tremendous asset to YBR.”
