Mortgage Choice’s current head of diversified products Simon Dehne will take up the role as chief executive officer following Mr Rampal’s departure.
To ensure a smooth transition for Mr Dehne, Mr Rampal said he will stay on with the group until the end of 2011.
“We’re delighted Kym will stay on with us this year for as long as Simon and his team require support. In 2012 Kym is heading off on the trip of a lifetime, travelling overseas for several months with his family. For now, he takes a supporting role at LoanKit and will help out with a number of IT projects,” Mortgage Choice chief executive officer Michael Russell said.
“Simon has made solid progress with our diversification strategy as head of diversified products and is now ready to take LoanKit into its next phase of growth.”
Mr Dehne said he was excited about his new challenging role.
“Having been a part of the mortgage broking industry for almost 20 years now, the challenges brokers constantly face are very familiar to me. I am passionate about boosting the industry’s profile and progress by providing innovative tools and services,” he said.
“LoanKit offers a remarkable opportunity for established brokers who need an aggregator that doesn’t provide a one-size-fits-all solution. Our team has a strong competitive advantage in delivering above and beyond the needs of our broker customers as competition heats up.”
