There are countless apps, widgets, programs and systems available to business people and mortgage brokers to improve efficiencies, increase accuracy and take the burden out of manual processing.
If you want to survive out there today you have to harness this rapidly evolving aspect of the industry. The beauty of technology is that it is mostly available at the swipe of a finger and it’s becoming cheaper every day.

Here are a few pieces of technology I find useful:
Breezedocs
This is a new web-based application designed for brokers and banking institutions to assist with improving the management of client documents. As we know, they can come in via email or fax, and in all sorts of weird and wonderful formats. At present, Breezedocs allows you to upload a tax return or group cert or anything with a tax file number, and will then remove the TFN and spit it back out the other end ‘lender-ready’. It saves you ever ‘missing’ one and keeps your files compliant.
In the near future it will also be able to analyse an attachment of any size and sort the documents into their individual categories, whether they be bank statements, tax returns, financials, payslips or contracts. Being web-based, you don’t ever have to worry about updates and installs either, which is pretty handy.
CamCard
No, this isn’t just another business card reader. I find CamCard to be the most accurate and the fastest I have come across. For those of us that spend a lot of time out networking and collecting cards, this will save you a heap of time over the course of the year. It’ll even send a LinkedIn request for you!
iThoughts
This is mind mapping made simple. It allows you to record your thoughts throughout seminars, meetings and webinars, and then turns the information into an easy-to-follow format within a PDF.
If you know of any other technology that helps you in your business, feel free to share with your peers to improve how we all operate.
