NextGen upgrades Access Seeker service

by Adrian Suljanovic11 minute read

The provider of lending technology has announced improvements on its Access Seeker Credit Report.

NextGen has confirmed that the Access Seeker Credit Report service — available through its ApplyOnline platform — now includes a new “verification” feature to offer an improved application experience for brokers and to deliver fast approval times.

According to NextGen, the upgraded service was made available to brokers in ApplyOnline for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), Westpac and its subsidiary St.George, and Resimac home loan applications and is set to be rolled out across more lenders by the end of July.

The upgrade enables brokers to review and compare suggested data from the Access Seeker report against the disclosed data entered in the application (and amend application values to match) on the same page of the ApplyOnline application.

In addition, the improvements introduced a “Verified” badge for liabilities in the ApplyOnline application. This auto-detects when applicant liability values match the Access Seeker report value.

The Access Seeker Credit Report is available to brokers at no cost to them or clients and provides a “secure and efficient method” for brokers to request copies of applicants’ credit history as part of the ApplyOnline application process, according to NextGen.

This gives access to comprehensive insights into their credit risk using negative and Comprehensive Credit Reporting (CCR) data prior to submitting a loan application.

NextGen chief customer officer Tony Carn said they are thrilled to bring the enhanced functionality to the Access Seeker service.

By enabling the ability to efficiently source, update, and verify application data with minimal effort, we’re empowering mortgage brokers to have better control of the application prior to submission,” Mr Carn stated.

“By leveraging the full benefits of the Access Seeker service upgrade, lenders can quickly identify applications that have undergone thorough verification, enhancing the efficiency of their processes.

“We are committed to providing innovative solutions that increase efficiencies and empower mortgage brokers in the lending application process.”

NextGen head of broker partnerships Renee Blethyn recently sat down for an episode of The Adviser’s New Broker podcast to talk about some of the top tech tools helping brokers write more efficiently and how to get the most out of NextGen’s ApplyOnline platform.

When asked about some top tips for brokers using the ApplyOnline, she said: “The quality pieces that definitely make the application more successful when it comes to making it easier for the lender to assess it is making sure that they have completed an Access Seeker report and that's something that we do actually provide and integrate with some of our lenders’ platform.”
