N1 embeds AI assistant to support brokers

by Annie Kane7 minute read

An artificial intelligence tool has been folded into the lender’s system to support brokers with deal structuring, scenario responses, and credit appetite guidance.

Non-bank lender N1 Holdings has launched a new tool for brokers that harnesses OpenAI’s GPT artificial intelligence (AI) technology and has been tailored by N1 to respond specifically to the needs of the private credit space.

From today (25 March), mortgage and finance brokers using N1 can access the N1 Private Credit GPT tool, which has been designed to support brokers in real time with deal structuring, scenario responses, and credit appetite guidance for the lender’s asset-backed loans.

According to the lender, the AI tech provides instant feedback on deal scenarios, covering both first and second mortgages and can also provide clear guidance on acceptable loan-to-value ratios (LVRs), security types, and structuring nuances to ensure well-informed decision making.

The lender said that all recommendations align with N1 Holdings’ lending policy and regulatory standards, but brokers still have the option to escalate questions to N1’s team when needed.

The lender said pilot testing of the N1 Private Credit GPT tool had generated “hundreds of productive conversations”, structured stronger credit submissions, and helped save brokers’ time.

Speaking of the new AI tech, Ren Wong, CEO of N1 Holdings, said: “Private lending has always required speed, flexibility and deep structuring knowledge.

“Our new GPT tool empowers brokers with those capabilities instantly. It doesn’t just answer questions – it adds value by guiding brokers to structure better deals with confidence and clarity.”

He said that the move formed part of N1’s broader strategy to invest in digital tools and broker education.

You can find out more about the N1 Private Credit GPT tool at The Adviser’s Better Business Summit 2025, which continues in South Australia/the Northern Territory this Friday (28 March) at InterContinental Adelaide, before finishing in NSW on 3 April at Hyatt Regency Sydney.
